Veteran writer Mark Waid has delivered the sad news that Jim Shooter, giant of the comic book industry, has died at the age of 73: source
During his tenure as Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics, Shooter oversaw the development of G.I Joe's relaunch as A Real American Hero in 1982 for Griffin-Bacal. In 1983, he personally wrote an eight-page development treatment for The Transformers, establishing many of the foundational concepts used by the franchise today.
